My co-worker got a loan from them. they ask for your bank information so that they can deposit the funds into it and if you choose, they will also debit your account when your payment is due. Banks put the hold on them to protect you as well as themselves against loss. Your credit score should warrant a good interest rate on a car loan. Also check on having your payment automatically deducted. Most banks offer a discounted rate when you do that too. Check with your local bank. Banks base rates on the year of the vehicle and your credit rating.

To answer your question (sort of) - you are in a VERY bad spot, if you want that Sebring so baddddddd! You will not be able to negotiate a good deal from the dealership and as soon as you drive off the lot, the value will go down by 20% (maybe more!)

Save up some cash, buy a USED car and skip the payments. Take the money you would have spent on payments each month and save it up, so when it's time for another car, you can pay CASH - there's some negotiating power! How happy do you think you'll be paying $400, $500, $600 on that 5, 6, 7 year old car (in 5, 6, 7 years)? Or, to put it another way, how would you feel about making the same payment on a 5, 6, 7 year old car if you were making those payments today? Try tacking on the interest payments over the course of the loan? How much MORE will the car cost with interest (that's the REAL cost of the car)? New cars are a HORRIBLE place to put money. Let someone else take the depreciation, buy a vehicle someone else has (f)leased.

these are called loan brokers

basically they make you pay a fee to them, then they search all the loan companies on their books to find you a loan

the truth is 90% of the time you will be rejected for the loan and it takes 6 months to get your money back and a whole lot of letters!

If you read the small print it always says

'you have been PROVISIONALLY accepted'

This basically means you haven't been accepted at all, they just want a fee from you so they can search the loan market for you.

Then you must pass the credit check from the loan company that they find

After applying for a loan and then signing a credit agreement I have now been told that im not able to have this loan now.

Further to this I was told that i needed my property valuing and that this was just protocol and i would still get the loan.

After the valuation i was again told that as soon as the company received the valuers report they would send out the cheque for my loan.

Now i find out that my properties value hasnt met the target value it needed and i can no longer have the loan.

can they say that i would definately get the loan, then go back on their word or are they committing and offence by doing this? If they are in the wrong, who do I complain about, with me dealing with a broker?

That's absolutely ridiculous. Sure it would be nice to have a degree in accounting or business to know what loan officers are talking about when you go to take out loans. But no, that's not one of the qualification you need to get a loan. Having an equity is what you need to qualify for any loan. I don't even have a degree in accounting to know this. You must be using online companies. Ive never heard of it. But then again I have only been doing mortgages for 15 years. Most states require that if you have to pay any upfront money they have to describe exactly what its for and it has to be refundable if not used.

I assume it is %26quot;credit life%26quot; insurance. A lot of lenders want you to get it (they get a kickback onthe premium) but in some states it is illegal to make it a requirement for a loan.
