I applied for a loan and got approved but the loan got cancelled because of not enough credit hours. I never got the check or the school received no money from it do i still have to pay back the loan?

If the loan was canceled before the lender sent the school the money then no, there is nothing with that particular loan that you have to repay.

Of course not. Although you applied the money was never disbursed. Checking the number of credits you were taking was the last step in the loan process and it didn't go through
